Randy Battey, P.E., has been named a senior associate in Gresham, Smith and Partners, a leading multi-disciplinary design and consulting firm for the built environment.
Battey is a senior engineer and principal in GS&P’s Transportation market who joined the firm in 2014. He has more than 27 years of experience in pavement management and preservation, transportation research, materials testing, local public agency transportation project administration and bridge design for a variety of public-sector clients. Prior to joining GS&P, Battey spent 25 years at the Mississippi Department of Transportation (MDOT). He is an active member of the Transportation Research Board’s Standing Committees AFD70 for Pavement Rehabilitation and AFD80 for Strength and Deformation Characteristics of Pavement Sections. He is also a member of the Scholarship and Tellers committees for the Mississippi Engineering Society. Battey is a graduate of Louisiana Tech University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering.
