The Ohr-O’Keefe Museum of Art has named Harry Joachim as its Director of Development.
He will be charged with bolstering memberships, admissions and special events for the museum. He will also be responsible for identifying and securing charitable gifts and donations for the beachfront museum.
A native of Biloxi, Joachim earned his undergraduate degree at the University of Mississippi. After a successful tenure in the family real estate brokerage, he served as the Executive Director of the National Association of Master Appraisers and Managing Director of the National Association of Real Estate Appraisers. In addition, he was Associate Dean of the Lincoln Graduate Center which, at the time, was the largest proprietary real estate school in the nation.
Joachim later served as Executive Director of the Biloxi Chamber of Commerce where he distinguished himself by improving operations and by his success in tourism marketing. He later held positions in casino marketing in both Mississippi and Alabama.
A public speaker, Joachim has effectively delivered over 4,000 hours of platform presentations in thirty-five cities. He is also a published writer and photographer. In addition, Joachim’s diverse background includes broadcasting and acting credits.
