CLARKSDALE — The GrowDelta Initiative is slated to host its second event this year Dec. 5 at the Cutrer Mansion in Clarksdale from 8:45 a.m.-4:30 p.m.
The non-profit organization, founded by Charles Noble, Ph.D., and Emily Broad, JD, is a collaboration of community leaders, businesspeople, citizens from around the state and others who are looking to preserve the character of the Mississippi Delta and create a framework and training ground for those wanting to contribute to the region’s success and their own prosperity through new small business ventures, according to Noble. This independent group is fostering potential entrepreneurs in the Mississippi Delta and providing local community members with business guidance and mentoring.
The December event is titled “Finding Your Great Business Idea: Innovation, Marketing, and Strategic Thinking.” The program will include presentations and workshops.
The cost is $10 in advance, $15 the day of the event (admission not guaranteed, space limited; cash only).
