Medical park construction to begin
PASCAGOULA — Singing River Health System (SRHS) will celebrate the beginning of construction of the 70,000-square-foot Singing River Medical Park with a ceremonial dirt dumping Nov. 5 beginning at 3 p.m. The ceremony will be held at the walking track east of Singing River Hospital on Denny Avenue in Pascagoula.
The facility will house The Neuroscience Center, a medical laboratory, outpatient imaging services, cardiac rehabilitation, physical therapy and a medical wellness center. The project is expected to be completed in early 2011 and will cost approximately $20 million.
The ceremony will include remarks by Chris Anderson, SRHS CEO; Mike Heidelberg, SRHS board of trustees president; Kay Kell, Pascagoula city manager; George Freeland, Jackson County Economic Development executive director; and, Manly Barton, Jackson County Board of Supervisors president.
