Weakened Ida still caused damage
SOUTH MISSISSIPPI — Mississippi was spared the full wrath of Tropical Storm Ida, but the Mississippi Emergency Management Agency reports there were damages.
Damages reported as of Nov. 10 to the State Emergency Operations Center are:
• Forrest County — Debris and flooded roads; minor power outages
• Hancock County — Roads flooded around Shoreline Park
• Harrison: 150 residents without power in North Harrison County
• Jackson County — Roads closed due to debris; trees and power lines down throughout the county; about 350 residents without power in Vancleave
Wayne County — Roads blocked due to debris
As many as six homes were also damaged in the three coastal counties. Emergency managers say there have been no reports of injuries.
