Choctaws’ IKBI trims its payroll
PHILADELPHIA — The Mississippi Band of Choctaw Indians has laid 47 workers at its general contracting division.
IKBI Inc. board chairman Joshua Breedlove says there was too little construction work to keep all the employees. He says IKBI had 74 workers before the layoffs.
The company specializes in commercial/government construction, complex renovation, property development and electrical subcontracts.
Breedlove says IKBI has projects under way in Virginia, New Orleans and on the Gulf Coast.
IKBI is a general contracting firm that helps government and private sector clients throughout the Southeast with large commercial/industrial, earthwork and renovation projects.
