Sentencing set in mortgage fraud case
NATCHEZ — A former mortgage broker will be sentenced next week for using fraudulent information and documents to help people get more than $500,000 in loans.
Warren Clifton Pierce pleaded guilty in June to one charge in the 13-count indictment.
Prosecutors say Pierce worked in Hinds and Rankin counties for Raintree County Marketing Company before he incorporated a business called Integrity Mortgage in 2001.
Federal court records say Pierce received thousands of dollars in fees from the loans working under Integrity Mortgage between 2003 and 2007.
Sentencing is set for Jan. 12 in U.S. District Court in Natchez.
