Comments on: BP oil spill claims: casino workers denied, restaurant workers hitting lottery

I work for two seafood restaurants on the gulf coast.One which not in a casino,Darden industries and the other which happens to be in one of the casinos.I was one of the first employees in my darden restaurant to file, since then all of my co-workers have received generous sums from their claims .After filing and turning in more documents,my claim was in review for over two months only to be forwarded to another type of review.Yesterday my claim was denied.Can anyone help me to understand why I would not be compensated for working at either of these restaurants if not the one that has proven to have suffered loss and has plenty of workers who have been compensated. I believe the gulf coast claims facility has classified me based on my casino job and has not taken into consideration that my can be seen from another point of view,I believe to be swept under the rug because my claim says I’m an employee for a casino.The fact still remains I also work for a company which has proven to have lost buisness due to the BP oil spill and has workers which have filed and have been compenasted by the gulf coast claims facility. please comment mafinc80@yahoo.com

the gccf workers say that the review board is not even checking to see if casino workers are eligible they just automatically deny the claims when they see casino come across the board.

NO NO MS VIVIAN…..BP IS NOT DENYING TO LEGIT CLAIMS! THERE IS A LOT OF FRAUD GOING ON BUT NOT ALL DENIALS ARE FRAUDULENT! THERE ARE PLENTY OF PEOPLE THAT HAVE LOST WAGES DUE TO LOW TOURISM. ITS VERY SAD BECAUSE THE CASINOS MAKE UP A LARGE PART OF THE GULF COAST TOURISM INDUSTRY. NOW, IT SHOULD BE PRETTY OBVIOUS THAT RESTAURANTS ALL ALONG THE GULF COAST ARE BEING APPROVED FOR CLAIMS AND WE ALL KNOW THERE ARE RESTAURANTS INSIDE CASINOS……..WHY IN THE HELL WOULD ONE BE MORE ELIGIBLE THAN ANOTHER???? AND THEN YOU HAVE SPAS AND TANNING SALONS ALL BEING APPROVED?!?!? COME ON, GIVE ME A BREAK!!! AND MS VIVIAN, DO YOU REALLY HAVE TO BLAME THE PRESIDENT FOR THE SPILL??? I SEE, YOUR ONE OF “THOSE” PEOPLE!! THANKS AMY

Good for BP for not paying all these claims. BP was railroaded by Obama to put that money up. ??? What was that for? Anyway I’m out looking for a job and then we have people trying to take money that they are not entitled too. The honest do not get ahead in life but the not honest do. Thanks Vivian
