Shugana Williams, librarian and archivist at the University of Southern Mississippi Gulf Coast, has been named the 2011-2012 president of the Society of Mississippi Archivists (SMA).
As president, Williams will continue promoting quality archival education throughout the state and encourage others to utilize SMA as the main resource for preserving Mississippi’s rich history.
