Eaton wins service contract from Southwest Airlines
JACKSON — Southwest Airlines Co. has selected Eaton Corporation as one of their component service providers. The companies have entered into a contractual agreement for component repair and overhaul services for the airline’s fleet of Boeing 737 passenger jets. The three-year service contract applies to aircraft equipped with Eaton-manufactured hydraulic components, including AC motor-driven pumps, engine-driven pumps and hydraulic motors.
Terms were not disclosed.
Southwest Airlines will ship components to Eaton’s aerospace facilities for repair and overhaul services as part of the contract agreement.
Eaton components serviced in the contract provide hydraulic fluid power for primary flight controls, flap and slat drives, landing gear, nose wheel steering, thrust reversers, spoilers, rudders, cargo doors and emergency hydraulic-driven electrical generators.
