There is so much more that needs to be done.
Some how the people of Mississippi and around the world are missing the cues.

There may have been a time when we could afford to spend money as if it doesn’t
matter. I think we have let those days slip away. Our state and our country have major economic problems that are getting worse by the day. Spending money like an
adolescent with a credit card helped to cause our current problems. If we don’t learn
from our mistakes we are doomed to repeat them. Please reconsider this action.

I’ll bet if you could ask Mr. Evers if he thinks this is a good use of funds that he would say No! The City Council needs to get their priorities straight in these bad economic times and save that idea for more prosperous ones.

But I can’t say I’m surprized by it. Jackson does really, really stupid things that make no sense what so ever! The city’s infrastructure is literally falling apart and they can pass a vote to change the name of the airport YET AGAIN! Just further justification that I did the right thing by getting out of Jackson.
