Melissa A. Swetland, CPA, has been promoted to supervisor at BKD, LLP. Swetland joined BKD in the Oxford office in January 2010. She has over 12 years of experience in the accounting profession and provides tax services for a wide variety of both business and individual clients.

Swetland is a graduate of the University of Mississippi where she earned a bachelor of arts degree in political science in 1995 and a bachelor’s degree in accountancy in 1996. Additionally, she completed her master’s degree in taxation at the University of Mississippi in 1997.

Swetland is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Mississippi Society of Certified Public Accountants. She is currently serving on the finance council at St. John Evangelist Catholic Church in Oxford.
