Natchez city planner Bob Nix is retiring, effective June 29.
Assistant city planner Danit Simon has also left the city and is now executive director of planning in Pass Christian.
Mayor Jake Middleton said the hiring of a new city planner and assistant city planner will more than likely be left up to the new mayor and Natchez Board of Aldermen that will take office in July.
