MUW chooses Heimmermann

Dr. Dan Heimmermann has joined the Mississippi University for Women administration as provost and vice president for academic affairs. Heimmermann comes to MUW from the University of Texas at Brownsville where he served as dean of the College of Liberal Arts. Prior to his experience in Texas, he was chair of the Department of History and Political Science at the University of North Alabama.
He holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh and earned his master’s degree and doctorate at Marquette University.
Heimmermann and his wife, Claudia, have a six-year-old daughter, Lucie.
