I was one of the confirmed cases in Rankin County and I wouldn't wish it upon anyone. I think it is the most ill I have ever been. I was down for over a week with temps of 105 F for several days, despite placing ice packs under my neck, axilla, forehead, and groin. I had many flu like symptoms, but the headaches I suffered with were incredible. It literally hurt to even move my head. My advice to anyone experiencing anything like what I described is to seek medical attention immediately. Also, I know that viruses generally have to run their course, but I was given a shot of Rocephin and a Z-pack as a prophylaxiis. Thanks, just wanted to comment on the seriousness of the WNV.
