What the article didn’t say was the the Pearl River eventually makes it’s way to the Mississippi Sound and near the state’s largest oyster reef located offshore from Pass Christian. The Mississippi Sound is also key to the tourism and seafood industries that are so important to the Gulf Coast. It is incomprehensible that the City of Jackson, or any other city dump “minimally treated” seweage into public waterways.
