Trucking executive, 70, arrested for cocaine and domestic assault

BILOXI — Authorities say a south Mississippi businessman who has received more than $75 million in federal funds for construction work at the state Port of Gulfport has been arrested on cocaine and domestic assault charges.
Biloxi police chief John Miller tells The Sun Herald W.C. “Cotton” Fore was arrested outside the Palace Casino. He’s charged with felony cocaine-possession and a misdemeanor domestic assault.
Fore’s lawyer, Tim Holleman, says Fore is innocent and he looks forward to trying the case in court.
Fore, 70, owner of W.C. Fore Trucking, has a contract using federal money for work on a port restoration and expansion project.
The newspaper says the company specializes in transporting concrete, sand, dirt and gravel and has received $75 million in federal funds for ongoing work.
