JACKSON — The Mississippi Athletic Commission recently released online applications for sports licenses and event permits. It is the first-ever online service launched by the Commission.
“These convenient online services enable citizens to securely purchase a license or an event permit in a few quick and easy steps,” said Jon Lewis, Mississippi Athletic Commission chairman. “This online process will save licensees valuable time and in return reduce the amount of time it takes the Commission to issue a license or permit.”
Licenses for boxers, mixed martial arts contestants, wrestlers, referees, timekeepers, judges and more are available to purchase online through the combatant sports licensing application. Additionally, promoters and matchmakers can purchase an event permit online. These applications may be viewed on any mobile device and can typically be completed within five minutes, according to the Commission.
