CORINTH — Officials say a new facility for Caterpillar will house warehouse and logistics operations and create 35 jobs over the next three years. Gov. Phil Bryant joined Corinth Mayor Tommy Irwin and other local officials for Thursday’s announcement. Date set for Keenum’s sentence in bank fraud case

Once prominent attorney Thomas D. Keenum Sr. will be sentenced Dec. 30 for federal bank fraud. The 71-year-old Keenum pleaded guilty in August 2010 to a scheme to defraud BancorpSouth of Booneville through a $135,447 loan. He faces up to 30 years in prison and $1 million in fines. BOONEVILLE — Trudy Featherston has been named interim executive director of the Booneville Area Chamber of Commerce and Booneville Main Street Association. The Northeast Mississippi Daily Journal reports that the board president for the organizations, Leigh Ann Michael, announced Friday that Featherston would be interim director.
