Department of Justice launches probe of Entergy

The U.S. Department of Justice is investigating Entergy Corporation’s transmissions system and electricity-purchasing practices. The New Orleans-based company disclosed the investigation prior to the opening of financial markets Tuesday. Four states discuss Entergy’s power purchasing practices

At the E-RSC’s second conference, regulators from Mississippi, Arkansas, Louisiana and Texas discussed Entergy’s power purchasing practices and transmissions system.
