Four years ago, lawmakers in Georgia’s General Assembly approved a bill designed to lessen the rate shock for Georgia Power Co. customers related to the utility’s construction of nuclear power units. Sierra Club: Poll shows customer opposition to rate hikes via Kemper coal plant

Supreme Court denies Miss. Power’s rate increase (Updated with clarification)

Mississippi Power is now 0-2 when it comes to collecting money to pay for its Kemper County coal plant. Kemper coal plant costs surge again
