OXFORD — Imprisoned former attorney Richard “Dickie” Scruggs wants to be released from prison while his appeal of a second judicial bribery conviction is pending. The Northeast Mississippi Daily Journal reports the 66-year-old Scruggs is due for release from his first sentence on Nov. 6.
