HATTIESBURG — University of Southern Mississippi President Rodney Bennett has announced a new minimum salary of $21,000 a year to go into effect July 1. JACKSON — The Department of Labor has fined the city of Jackson $31,750 for violations of the Fair Labor Standards Act uncovered during a recent federal probe.
