Grenada Stamping and Assembly is adding 50 jobs in an expansion of its solar panel-related stamping business.
The company said the $500,000 investment is designed to accommodate the rapid growth of the solar panel-related stamping segment of its business.
Grenada Stamping and Assembly has added more than 90 jobs since January 2010. This latest expansion brings the workforce at the Grenada Stamping complex to 231.
Grenada Stamping parts to the appliance, automotive, HVAC/R and off-highway markets.
The Mississippi Development Authority is helping with the new expansion through the Momentum Mississippi Incentives program for upgrades to a county-owned building occupied by Grenada Stamping and Assembly.
Gary Houston, Grenada Stamping and Assembly general manage, said Grenada County’s business climate and the availability of a qualified workforce have made for a strong partnership and added value to the company’s products. “It is that value that has accelerated our growth in the past year and the reason we are able to create 50 new jobs in the community,” Houston said in a press statement.
