From the office of Lt. Governor-Elect Tate Reeves:

“I would like to congratulate Phillip Gunn, the newly elected Speaker

of the Mississippi House of Representatives. His vast legislative

experience, long track record of supporting conservative ideals, and

his strong belief in public service are all reasons why he is an

excellent choice to lead the House. I plan to have a close working

relationship with him and his leadership team, as well as

Governor-elect Bryant, to pass a conservative legislative agenda that

focuses on our job creation successes, improving the education

attainment level of our citizens, and having a fiscally responsible

government.   Again, I am proud to say that we have a proven leader in

the House to build upon the momentum conservatives have put in place

during the past eight years. Working together, we will make

Mississippi a better place to live and raise our families.”
