U.S. military veterans are now eligible to earn the American Institute of Banking’s new (AIB) Military Banking Operations Diploma as part of their educational benefits provided by the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA).

The VA approved the training program as a way of assisting veterans’ post-service careers.

To make the program even more attractive to busy professionals and service members, all courses are offered online so the student can work at his or her own pace from the comfort of their home, office or duty station.

The AIB Military Banking Operations Diploma training program, which was designed in partnership with the U.S. Army, will arm veterans with the knowledge and skills needed to pursue careers in the financial services industry.

Frank Keating, president & CEO of the American Bankers Association, said the AIB credential confirms mastery of banking-specific content and will prepare veterans or managerial-level positions in the industry.

AIB is a subsidiary of the American Bankers Association.
