Gov. Phil Bryant and officials with the Blaine Companies and Fores Canada Inc. announced the creation of 60 new jobs for Natchez and Adams County.
The two companies are partnering to produce and strengthen frac sand. Frac sand is used by the oil and gas industry for hydraulic fracturing of conventional and unconventional reservoirs, such as shale wells, to enhance oil and natural gas recovery.
In a released statement Gov. Bryant thanked the companies, “I am grateful for their confidence in our workforce and their investment in our state, and they will play a vital role in expanding our energy economy.”
The investment of both business expansions is $34 million.
