Venture Technologies has achieved Cisco Cloud Builder designation, the Jackson IT-firm announced Monday.

“We are excited to earn this prestigious designation that highlights Venture’s private cloud building expertise,” Venture CEO Gerard Gibert said in a released statement. “Venture is now one of only a few Cisco partners in the Southeast to earn this designation.”

The designation is part of the Cisco Cloud Partner Program and recognizes the company’s competence in selling and implementing Cisco end‑to-end cloud solutions.

Venture says it has met the Cisco requirements across all cloud infrastructure  including security, networking, computing, storage and virtualization, cloud management applications and formal cloud professional services.

Gibert talked with MBJ-TV last year about what cloud computing is and why it is so important to his company.
