Gasoline prices in Mississippi are up six cents this week, according to AAA Fuel Gauge Report.
AAA’s Aug. 14 survey of prices in Mississippi found self-serve, regular unleaded averaging $3.452 per gallon, six cents more than a week ago. Prices locally are up 38 cents over the past month. The current price is 15 cents below the national average for self serve unleaded of $3.70. A year ago at this time the Mississippi average price was $3.48.
The national range in prices in the latest AAA survey for unleaded regular is 76 cents, from a low of $3.40 in South Carolina to a high of $4.16 in Hawaii.
