SquareTrade reveals its clumsiest states list for iPhone And iPad damages, with Mississippi And South Carolina topping the lists
SquareTrade, the world’s largest independent warranty provider, today released a study highlighting the country’s clumsiest states, ranking them in order of everyday consumer iPhone and iPad damage and breakage.
Based on internal SquareTrade claim data, the top five clumsiest states for iPhones are:
- Mississippi
- New Mexico
- Rhode Island
- North Dakota
- South Carolina
For iPads, according to SquareTrade data, the top five clumsiest states are:
1. South Carolina
2. Mississippi
3. Nebraska
4. Washington, D.C.
5. Alaska
“At SquareTrade, we’ve found most devices fail due to drops and spills. IPhones and iPads are fragile devices and sometimes all it takes is small drop to shatter the screen. Replacing these broken devices that are now an integral part of our lifestyle, costs customers a lot of money”, said Ty Shay, Chief Marketing Officer.

Customer claims were analyzed to conclude which states are the clumsiest.
