Music and seafood take stage for Biloxi festival this weekend

Seafood will be served up by the tub full and be accompanied by a full day and evening of music when the 31st annual Biloxi Seafood Festival gets under way Saturday and Sunday at the Biloxi Town Green, 710 Beach Blvd.

Here’s Saturday’s music lineup:

10 a.m. -12 p.m. Matt Lemmler’s New Orleans

Jazz Revival Band

Noon-2 p.m. Back Alley

2-4 p.m. Rochelle Harper Band

4-6 p.m. Rythem & Rain

6-9 p.m. Molly Ringwalds

Sunday’s lineup includes:

10 a.m.12 p.m. Sista Jazz

Noon-3 p.m. Dikki Du & the Zydeco Crew

3 p.m. -5 p.m. Tim Gross & the Blue Blazes

The festival attracts an average of 25,000 people yearly during its two-day run, says the event’s sponsor, the Biloxi Chamber of Commerce.

This year, the Mississippi Gulf Coast CVB is teaming with the Mississippi Hotel Lodging Association to offer festival package deals to visitors who book two at least two nights through Gulf Coast Hotel Reservations.

Visitors will receive two complimentary tickets to the festival on Sept. 8 and 9, VIP shopping passes to Gulfport Prime Outlets, and discounts coupons to area restaurants and attractions, organizers say.
