Meena has been notably outspoken on issues from data roaming and LTE to the so-called “wireless duopoly” that he says exists between national rivals Verizon Wireless and AT&T. As a leading voice for the Rural Carriers Association, Meena led the opposition to AT&T’s proposed mega-merger with T-Mobile in 2011.
Also in 2011, Meena oversaw C Spire’s corporate re-branding efforts including a name change from the old Cellular South and a landmark deal with Apple to carry its newest iPhone line. The company recently announced its completion of 4G LTE wireless connectivity in the Metro Jackson market.
