Ocean Springs software voted “Best of the Year”

SlimCleaner, a software product of Ocean Springs-based SlimWare Utilities was voted “Best of the Year” by PCMag.com, according to a company press release.

It’s the second year in a row of recognition of the tool as a successful optimization solution for PC computers.

From the release: Released in October 2012, SlimCleaner 4.0 combines the solutions to the most common PC problems and puts them in a single, easy-to-use, automated software product. Crowd-sourced and cloud-based, SlimCleaner 4.0 features an Intelligent Defrag, a Duplicate File Finder with IntelliMatch, a Solid-State Drive Optimization Tool and a Software Updater to keep all the software on a PC current.

“We are proud to be recognized by PCMag for the second year running,” said SlimWare CEO Chris Cope, “Receiving this award affirms our commitment to providing software that improves the PC experience for all consumers, and acknowledges that our crowdsourced method is a proven, quality approach to software development.”

SlimWare Utilities was profiled in 2011 by the Mississippi Business Journal.
