Lt. Gov. Tate Reeves released a statement Wednesday concerning the death of former Greenville mayor Chuck Jordan …

“Elee and I are terribly sad to learn of Chuck Jordan’s passing. Chuck was more than a great political supporter. For us, he was a great friend. Chuck’s passion for his hometown of Greenville and the Mississippi Delta was evident to all who knew him. His vision and accomplishments in less than nine months as mayor will be enjoyed by his constituents for many years to come. The Delta lost one of its long-time leaders today, and Elee and I lost a friend. Our thoughts and prayers are with Jane and his family.”
