Bryant to announce Minor League Baseball stadium being built in Biloxi

Baseball smallBILOXI, Mississippi — Minor League Baseball is a step closer to coming to Biloxi.

Gov. Phil Bryant, Biloxi Mayor A.J. Holloway and local officials will announce a new Minor League Baseball stadium for downtown Biloxi at a 3 p.m. news conference Thursday in Biloxi. Bryant will also unveil preliminary architectural designs for the stadium.

The event will take place at the proposed stadium site located north of the Beau Rivage Parking Garage at 875 Beach Blvd. in Biloxi. Earlier this month, the Biloxi City Council announced their intent to issue up to $21 million in bonds to construct a new baseball stadium on the site.
