Help navigating Obamacare available at new Balch & Bingham blog

JACKSON, Mississippi — Balch & Bingham LLP has launched the Affordable Care Act Review, a blog authored by members of the firm’s Affordable Care Act Strategists, a cross-disciplinary team created to provide advice and guidance on the ACA.

The ACA Review, at acareview.com, serves as a resource to provide information, practical commentary and analysis to the business community, says the Birmingham-based firm which has offices in Jackson and elsewhere in Mississippi.

The blog’s editorial team includes Balch attorneys who have followed, studied and analyzed the ACA throughout its entire lifecycle and have a deep understanding of the ways in which clients should prepare to protect and serve their organizations and employees, the firm says. The ACA Review Editor, Pepper Crutcher, also serves as leader of the ACA Strategists.

Crutcher is a partner in the firm’s Jackson office and has more than 30 years in navigating labor and employment issues for businesses across the Southeast.

“We developed this blog to serve as a critical resource to the many business owners and organizations that face questions and uncertainties about the impact of the ACA,” Crutcher said. “We will provide timely legal perspectives and analysis authored by credible, experienced attorneys who are actively advising clients on ACA strategies.”

The Balch & Bingham ACA Strategists is made up of a multidisciplinary team of attorneys with deep knowledge and experience in healthcare, labor and employment, tax, mergers and acquisitions and employee benefits who have devoted thousands of hours to studying the ACA and its application to businesses and have experience developing strategies to help employers navigate the complicated law.

In addition to Crutcher, the ACA Review contributors include: Aaron Dettling, Bob Ellerbrock, Chris Kimble, James King, Dan Silverboard, Philip Sprinkle, Jeff Starling and Chris Wansley.
