Rep. Bennie Thompson to address August 14 Greater Jackson Chamber luncheon

U.S. Rep. Bennie Thompson (D- Mississippi) will be the guest speaker at the Greater Jackson Chamber Partnership’s next membership luncheon scheduled for 12:00 Noon on Wednesday, August 14, at the Jackson Convention Complex in downtown Jackson.

A former alderman and mayor of Bolton, Thompson has represented the state’s 2nd Congressional District for nine terms, including four on the U.S. House of Representatives Homeland Security Committee. Thompson was recently in the news, as a potential replacement for outgoing Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano.

The cost of the luncheon will be $35 for chamber members and $40 for non-members. Seating is limited to 200 people and reservations are required.
