BILOXI, Mississippi — Beau Rivage Resort & Casino is pleased to welcome Rick Gehr as Fallen Oak’s new Head Golf Professional. An accomplished golfer and operator, Gehr played in the 1998 US Open and won the national PGA Assistant’s Championship the same year. Prior to joining MGM Resorts’ Fallen Oak, Gehr served as the Director of Golf Operations at Craft Farms Resort in Gulf Shores, Ala. Since 2005, Gehr managed complete golf operations, which included 50,000 rounds annually and a yearly operating budget of $3.5 million. He climbed through the ranks at Craft Farms Resort starting in 1993 as Assistant Golf Professional before being promoted to Head Gold Professional and then Director of Golf Operations.

As Fallen Oak Head Golf Professional, Gehr will direct and monitor staff and guide play at the golf course ensuring the highest level of profitability and guest satisfaction. He will also develop annual operating budgets and review operating expenses and revenue in all responsible departments along with maintaining productivity in all departments reporting to General Manager including golf pros, marshals, starters, and attendants with effective scheduling and staffing levels. Gehr‘s duties include reviewing departmental goals of responsible areas and ensuring they are completed in a timely manner.
Gehr graduated from Auburn University with a Bachelors of Science in Business Finance.
