Camellia Healthcare named ‘Nurse Employer of the Year’

camelliaCamellia Healthcare was named Nurse Employer of the Year by the Mississippi Nurses Association at their 2014 Nightingale Awards Gala held recently in Jackson. The Nurse Employer of the Year award recognizes the most outstanding nurse employer in Mississippi for an organization’s commitment to advancing healthcare.

“The Nightingale Award is a testament to all of our wonderful nurses and we thank each and every one of them for what they do daily on behalf of our patients and their families,” said Abb Payne, President of Camellia Healthcare, said in a news release. “To be honored by the Mississippi Nurses Association, the preeminent nursing organization in our great state, is a real validation of the work we do across the Southeast.”

Camellia is celebrating its 40th anniversary this year and has also been named one of Mississippi’s Best Places to Work by the Mississippi Business Journal, one of America’s Fastest-Growing Private Companies by Inc. Magazine and consistently appears on the MBJ’s list of Mississippi’s Fastest Growing Companies.
