The Ramey Agency, a brand strategy and marketing communications firm headquartered in Jackson, has been tapped as the lead creative agency for Ridgeland-based C Spire, replacing Young & Rubicam New York.

“We have long admired C Spire as a nationally respected brand,” said Chris Ray, partner and CEO at Ramey. “It’s exciting to work with a company that sets the bar at the highest level for themselves and their agency partners. We anticipate a relationship full of challenge and opportunity as we create and produce great work together.”

Ramey began working with C Spire in 2013 on a variety of projects, including a consumer promotion that recently won a national CCA Excellence in Marketing Award, which recognizes outstanding marketing campaigns based on their creativity and effectiveness.

“We’re pleased with the ideas, energy and enthusiasm coming from Ramey,” said David Hayes, vice president of marketing for C Spire. “It‘s gratifying to know that we don’t have to travel hundreds or even thousands of miles to find an agency capable of A-level work.“

Ramey will partner with C Spire in the development of all major marketing initiatives, including new products such as the company’s next-generation 1 Gigabit per second ultra-fast consumer Fiber to the Home broadband Internet service and its new, $20-million data center.
