WS Development announces that Red Square Clothing Company will open a location at Highland Village, adding another unique Jackson-based specialty retailer to the center’s tenant mix.
Highland Village will represent Red Square’s second shop in the Jackson area. Owner/manager Myles Harris debuted the clothing retailer’s first store five years ago. Red Square offers a full line of unisex clothing and has carved a niche as the premier denim clothier in the area with more than 1,500 pair in store.

Red Square will lease approximately 2,500 square feet at the north end of Highland Village facing Northside Drive in the space formerly occupied by Super D drugstore. The location will be renovated and Red Square will build their new concept store anticipated to open in July.
“This is just a wonderful location, one that offers advantages and opportunities,” said owner/manager Myles Harris. “Other retail centers had approached me, but no one could provide the ambiance and tenant mix that Highland Village will provide. That sold me.”
Red Square carries a wide offering of premium name denim including 7 For All Mankind, Citizens of Humanity, True Religion, Hudson, and Joe’s. Red Square also offers a full line of clothing including shoes, tops, belts and accessories.
“Anything that goes with denim – the whole outfit from head to toe,” said Harris. “We are looking forward to introducing a couple of new lines and offering a slightly different brand selection. We have built a large, loyal clientele and believe Highland Village positions us perfectly.”
WS Development recently announced that Maison Weiss, the iconic ladies apparel retailer, has extended its lease at Highland Village and the state’s first Whole Foods location will open in first quarter 2014. “We are excited about the mix of tenants that Highland Village will offer its customers,” said Dick Marks, Partner, WS Development. “Highland Village has served as the premier shopping experience in the Jackson market for decades and we believe that tradition will continue as we improve on what is already a great product.”
