MBJ takes 13 MPA awards as Carter wins again for investigative journalism

Staff writer Ted Carter won a first place in the investigative news category for his work on Ridgeland’s plan to displace thousands of apartment residents, many of whom are minorities. Because of his work, this issue has edged into the national spotlight. The judges commented, "Great serial coverage that brought attention to a big issue and seemingly had an effect on the outcome."
