Barksdale offers to pay for principals

ACROSS MISSISSIPPI — Four Mississippi school districts have accepted an offer from the Barksdale Reading Institute to search the nation for “top-notch” elementary school principals and pay their salaries. Claiborne Barksdale is director of the institute that was created with a $100-million donation by former Netscape CEO Jim Barksdale in 2000.
