MDOT making 'short-term fix' to bad bridges on Highway 6

BATESVILLE — The Mississippi Department of Transportation (MDOT) will be raising the posted weight limits of several Highway 6 bridges between Batesville and Clarksdale. COAHOMA COUNTY — The Mississippi Emergency Management Agency says a second person has died because of recent storms. MEMA spokesman Greg Flynn says a Coahoma County man died Wednesday at a Memphis, Tenn., hospital.
