The Mississippi Public Service Commission has voted unanimously to adopt a rule to “discourage the practice of filing non-confidential information confidentially” by public utilities.

South Mississippi Electric Power Association (SMEPA) announced June 30 that it would buy a 17.5 percent stake in Mississippi Power Company’s clean coal power plant to be built in Kemper County.
