SUMMIT — Summit has joined the list of Mississippi municipalities banning weapons in government buildings. McComb schools superintendent Therese Palmertree has announced she will retire July 1. McComb wins Entergy Mississippi makeover

Entergy Mississippi has awarded the city of McComb’s Depot District $100,000 as part of its 2012 Mississippi Makeover grant competition.
