$85 million sawmill to be built at Newton, creating 125 jobs

  MBJ staff St. Clair, Mich.-based Biewer Lumber will build an $85 million sawmill in Newton and create 125 jobs, according to a news release from the governor’s office. Silicon plant marks opening in Tishomingo County

By JACK WEATHERLY Mississippi Silicon officials were joined by state and local officials Wednesday to celebrate the opening of the 170,000-square-foot, $200 million plant in Burnsville.
