JACKSON — An Oxford school patron is asking a Hinds County judge to remove from the November ballot an alternative proposed by the Legislature to a citizen-sponsored education funding initiative. Jackson schools join Musgrove-led lawsuit over MAEP underfunding

JACKSON — Jackson Public Schools is joining a lawsuit seeking to recover a shortfall in state education funding and bar future underfunding. The board voted 2-1 yesterday to join, with two abstentions, said spokesman Sherwin Johnson.
