Commission sides with newspaper in school test-cheating probe

GREENWOOD — The Mississippi Ethics Commission has sided with the Greenwood Commonwealth newspaper and says the state Department of Education should hand over documents from any probe of possible cheating on achievement tests in Leflore County. Veteran journalist Sallie Gresham dies at 67

Sallie Ann Neblett Gresham, the former senior editor of the Delta Democrat Times in Greenville, died Tuesday, the newspaper reporter. She was 68. Former colleagues called Gresham a consummate professional with sincere compassion for others.
