Low sales prices drive Sanderson earnings down in second quarter

Sanderson recalls 551,090 pounds of chicken

Jack Weatherly Sanderson Farms, Inc. has voluntarily recalled 551,090 pounds of chicken products produced at its plant in Hazlehurst. A sample of the products analyzed by a customer of the company and the U.S. Department of Agriculture was found to contain metal shavings.
